As an integral part of our Product and Strategy team, you will help lead one of our flagship web technology products, Vignette Content Management, used by F500 companies on a daily basis. Though formal Product Management experience is certainly preferred, it is not necessarily a must have. Rather, for the candidate who understands the web content management space, and knows what it takes to drive software engineering projects to completion, find yourself in a unique opportunity to apply your technical and business savvy in an exciting role with a perennial leader in cutting edge web technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Works with Business Product manager and Product Marketing manager to understand business needs, define and refine requirements and turn them into detailed feature specifications for the Development teams.
  • Writes functional as well as technical product requirements based on in-house research, innovation, client’s business requirements, market evidence and market impact.
  • Communicates with R&D/Engineering to understand and analyze product specifications and align them with product requirements.
  • Communicates with clients to understand technical / infrastructural limitations and requirements.
  • Work closely with Development to drive the creation of engineering products using Agile (SCRUM) approach.
  • Acts as an expert on Vignette Content Management both internally and externally, especially for product enablement deliverables.
  • Refines architecture based upon current and future PM requirements, writing specifications, and feature team leadership/project management.

Required knowledge/skills:

  • A deep understanding of Web Content Management solutions is highly preferred.
  • A technical knowledge of Internet applications, Web site development, eCommerce and Web hosting infrastructure is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of the J2EE platform and associated development technologies is preferred.
  • Customer-facing/consulting background or experience in directly interacting with customers is a plus for this position.
  • Strong track record in a software development, technical project management or professional services/consulting role.
  • Pragmatic, detail-oriented, and execution-driven.
  • Knowledge of the SCRUM/Agile development process is ideal.
  • BS in Computer Science or related field is preferred but not required.
